MEET PRINCESS ANNE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!
Princess Anne Elementary School is home to our youngest learners, serving students in Pre-K3 through first grade! Under the leadership of Principal Mrs. Christa Taylor and Vice Principal Ms. Faughn Blair, PAES is dedicated to providing a welcoming and supportive environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive.
Principal’s Message:
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Princess Anne Elementary School! As a Title I school, serving approximately 400 students in grades Pre-K3 through First Grade, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every child can learn, grow, and succeed.
At PAES, we believe that strong relationships with students and families are the foundation of a successful school community. Our dedicated staff works hard each day to create a positive learning environment where students are excited to come to school and develop a lifelong love of learning. We focus on building strong foundational skills in reading and mathematics while supporting the social and emotional development of every child.
We are fortunate to have a Judy Center Early Learning Hub housed within our school, serving families with children from birth through age five. Through our Judy Center and partnerships with community organizations, we work together to provide valuable resources and support for our students and families. Being the principal of Princess Anne Elementary holds a special place in my heart. This is not only the school where I began my teaching career, but also the school I attended as a child. It is truly an honor to lead a school that has been such an important part of my life. I look forward to an amazing school year filled with learning, growth, and wonderful memories.
PAES Mission:
Princess Anne Elementary School is an early childhood hub that provides a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning community where every child is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. In our early childhood program, children learn through developmentally appropriate, hands-on experiences that build on their strengths, interests, and individual needs. We support curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and academic growth while fostering respectful relationships and a sense of belonging.
PAES Vision:
Princess Anne Elementary School will develop respectful, curious, and resilient learners who think creatively, persevere through challenges, and contribute to their community. We envision an inclusive community where every child and family feels welcomed, valued, and supported.
Early Childhood Philosophy
We believe young children learn best through nurturing relationships, purposeful play, exploration, and meaningful interactions with adults and peers. Our staff uses developmentally appropriate, research-informed practices to support each child’s social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. Staff collaborate, reflect on their practice, and pursue ongoing professional learning to provide responsive and inclusive instruction.
