Can you believe it is almost time for the third marking term? Join us at "Snack and Share" on February 8th to learn strategies to help your child be successful in the third marking term. RSVP by January 31.
It's time once again for students to participate in the Delmarva Shorebirds "Hit the Books" program. Each student will be bringing home a bookmark and instructions for participating in the program. Each student who returns his/her bookmark completed, will receive two free game tickets!
Due to freezing overnight temperatures and potential for icy road conditions tomorrow morning, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, schools will open with a 2-hour delay for students, teachers and staff. FNS & essential staff report on time / when safe.

Earlier in the week, SCPS held the first National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) cohort meeting for teachers pursuing certification in 2024. Hazardous road conditions continue to pose safety concerns for school buses at low tide today. As a result, schools will be closed for an asynchronous virtual school day tomorrow, Thursday, January 11, 2024. Essential & 12 month staff should report to their buildings by 8:30 AM.
Schools will dismiss early today, Tuesday 1/9: Secondary at 11:30 a.m. and Elementary at 12:30 p.m. Tomorrow, Wednesday 1/10, schools are closed for an asynchronous virtual school day. The shelter at Washington High School opens at 5:00 PM today. Be safe!
